2 policemen killed and several wounded in a suicide bombing near Al Azhar

CAIRO - 18 February 2019: Two policemen were killed and several wounded in a suicide bombing that took place Sunday near Al Azhar mosque in Al Darb al-Ahmar neighborhood.

A suicide attacker attempted to plant a bomb at the old neighborhood which exploded to end his life and kill two policemen and wound several pedestrians, security sources revealed.

Security forces rushed to the scene where bomb disposal experts are combing the area for other threats.
