Assar meets South Korean defense minister at IDEX 2019 in Abu Dhabi

CAIRO, Feb 17 (MENA) - Minister of State for Military Production Mohammed Saaed Al Assar took part in the International Defense Exhibition 2019 (IDEX), one of the biggest defense expos in the world, which opened Sunday in Abu Dhabi.

The five-day gathering brings together major defense and military companies to showcase their innovations.

Assar met on the sidelines of IDEX with South Korean Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo and discussed with him cooperation in the defense and military fields and the possibility of exchanging technological expertise.

The Military Production Ministry will display at the Egyptian pavilion products and defense equipment manufactured by its affiliate companies.

Egyptian armored vehicles St100 and St 500 will be presented for the first time at an international military exhibition abroad.

This is the second time for the Military Production Ministry to take part in IDEX as it previously participated in its 2017 edition.

The military production minister is scheduled to meet with a number of military commanders from all over the world as well as heads of the companies participating in the exhibition.

The ministry's participation in IDEX 2019 will offer an opportunity for opening up to the world through presenting its technological and technical capabilities and enable it to get acquainted with the latest technologies in the armament and defense fields.
