Egypt to see sand storm, low temperature Thursday

CAIRO – 13 February 2019: Egypt is expected to see an unstable weather Thursday, with speed dusty wind and a decline in temperature across the country.

The wind might amount to a sand storm in some areas, hindering clear visibility and causing navigational disorder on the Mediterranean Sea. Experts said that some areas in northern the country and in Upper Egypt might witness rainfall.

Chairman of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority Ahmed Abdel Aal expected temperature to drop in Alexandria and Nile Delta governorates on Wednesday, with Cairo recording highs 14°C.

While for the temperature degrees expected Thursday, Cairo will see highs of 16°C and lows of 11°C; Alexandria will record highs of 15°C and lows of 8°C; Matrouh will see highs of 16°C and lows of 8 °C; Qena will see highs of 20°C and lows of 9°C and Aswan will record 22°C during the day and 11°C at night.
