Heavy fog hits Egypt, ports - Press Photo
CAIRO – 22 January 2019: Egyptian cities and some of its port were hit by a heavy fog on Tuesday which led to block traffic in many areas.
The General Directorate of Traffic appealed to citizens to exercise caution while driving especially highways and desert, also stressed the citizens following some general guidelines before moving by car and following traffic rules.
In this regards, the Red Sea Ports Authority closed the ports of Suez and Zeitiyat due to bad weather.
Ahmed Abdelaal, chairman of the General Meteorological Authority reiterated citizens to wear warm clothing and keep themselves warm at night.
Although will last until the last week, the heavy fog is expected to remarkably relent on Wednesday and Thursday, while on rainfall is forecast, according to Mahmoud Shaheen, director of analysis department of the Meteorological Authority.
Regarding the temperature degree on Tuesday, Cairo will see a moderate weather during the day, while at night the the temperature will decrease significantly.
