Work to continue to boost Egypt-Vietnam tourism, says ambassador

CAIRO, 1 Jan 2018: Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Tran Thanh Cong said the terrorist incident that targeted a bus carrying Vietnamese tourists in Giza days ago will not stop his efforts to boost tourism between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism the ambassador added that tourism is one of the first issues that will encourage cooperation between the Vietnamese embassy and the Egyptian tourism ministry in the coming stage.

Cong also lauded the Egyptian government’s swift reaction to the incident as well as the tourism ministry’s efforts to facilitate the arrival of the Vietnamese victims’ families in Egypt.

In the same regard, he commended the medical care provided by the health ministry to the injured during their stay in hospital.
