A side of the Forum - Egypt Today
CAIRO – 20 December 2018: Head of the African Affairs Committee in Parliament said that Egypt’s presidency of the African Union is critical, adding that development is vital to ensure that the continent moves forward.
He added during a meeting of the African Affairs Committee with the youth at the Arab-African Forum organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, that building bridges of communication requires laying lines on the ground and that we must actively think about the future that young people have access to, asking, “Is it possible that the volume of intra-state trade Africa does not exceed 1 percent?”
There are many challenges that we must overcome with visions and implementation of strategies, continuing, “It is a challenge that 75 percent of AIDS patients worldwide are in Africa, Virus C patients have reached 90 million in the continent, which means that we are facing a strong challenge, but we have the experience that qualifies us to treat such diseases and overcome these challenges.”
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is organizing the Arab-African Youth Forum, under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, between December 19 and 28, 2018, which is the largest Arab-African youth event in Cairo, under the theme “One Dream, One Goal.”
