British Ambassador donates blood in Cairo

CAIRO – 31 May 2017: British Ambassador to Cairo John Casson donated blood to the National Blood Transfusion Center, according to a Wednesday tweet from his official Twitter account.

“We wanted to share the same feelings with the Egyptians, so we gathered last week at the embassy, before Ramadan, to donate blood,” Casson said. He and others donated blood at the British Embassy.

"Thanks to the National Blood Transfusion Center, which saves the lives of 5 million people every year, welcome and Ramadan Karim," the ambassador added in a tweet.
