ECFA annual conf. to underline Egypt's stand on regional issues

CAIRO - 18 December 2018: The timing of the Annual Conference of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) is extremely important in view of the crises and conflicts gripping the Arab world, an ECFA member said.

In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Ambassador Hussein Hassouna underscored Egypt's firm stand to promote Egyptian and Arab security, settle conflicts by peaceful means, maintain unity of regional states and combat terrorism.

A cluster of diplomats, ECFA members, university professors, intellectuals and public figures will attend the two-day conference which is due to kick off later Tuesday.

The get-together will review the developments in the Middle East and the role of Egypt and other Arab countries in realizing regional stability.
