LE 40K compensation to Minya attack injured

CAIRO – 30 May 2017: The 14 hospitalized patients injured in the Minya attack received each a check of LE 40,000 ($2,200) from the Ministry of Solidarity according to the first undersecretary of the ministry, Kamal Sharif on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity allocated LE 100,000 ($5500) for the families of each martyr of the Minya terrorist attack.

The ministry further decided to allocate a monthly pension of LE 1,500 ($82) for every victim, Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali stated.

On May 26, an armed group opened fire at a bus carrying more than 50 Christians in Minya, killing 29 and injuring many others, including children.
