CAIRO, Nov 25 (MENA) - President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi Sunday attended the inauguration of the 22nd round of the Cairo International Exhibition and Conference on Telecommunication and Information Technology (ICT 2018).
The exhibition, held at Egypt International Exhibitions Center under the slogan: Driving Transformation, will run till November 28.
The event is attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat and a number of other ministers and senior statesmen.
The event started with the screening of a documentary on the Communication and IT sector expounding the ICT ministry's achievements in terms of establishing centers and preparing training programs for various age groups in IT specialties in partnership with major international institutions and universities.
The documentary showed that training programs have helped create distinguished job opportunities for Egyptian youth in local and international companies, asserting that Egypt has become one of the best countries to offer cross-border IT services, namely outsourcing and IT in more than 20 languages, providing jobs to 230,000 people and exporting services worth dlrs 2.3 billion.
Egypt has established a number of other technology zones in Borg el Arab, Assiut, Beni Sueif and Sadat City, the documentary showed.
