Wafd urges members to legitimately challenge election result

CAIRO – 21 November 2018: Wafd Party spokesman Yasser al-Hediby said there are legitimate methods for challenging the election’s result, urging members objecting to the resultto resort tothe specialized court.

This came during an interview with "Hadret al-Mowatin" on Al-Hadath al-Youm on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Members of the party objecting to the election result will hold a press conference on Wednesday, Nov. 21 to display documents revealing mistakes and violations that allegedly took place during the election.

The complaining leaders of the party own many documents proving the invalidity of the election result due to a number of violations that took place during the election process , said Yasser Qora, a member of the party’s supreme authority and one of the candidates complaining about the election result.

The party decided to use all available means to convey grievance to the party leader, Qora said, adding that this is a sign of respect and appreciation of the history of the Wafd Party.
