Court adds Hisham Barakat's assassinators to terrorist list

CAIRO - 28 May 2017: The Cairo Criminal Court added Saturday 67 persons, convicted of assassinating the Attorney-General, Hisham Barakat, to the terrorist list for three years.

The convicts formed an outlawed group to terrorize citizens and assault security forces in order to overthrow the current regime.

Barakat was assassinated on June 29, 2015, after detonating his own car in front of his house in Heliopolis in Cairo.
