Pope Tawadros lays foundation stone of Mar Mina, Pope Cyril VI cathedral in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY - 30 September 2018: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese laid the foundation stone of Mar Mina and Pope Cyril VI cathedral in Stony Point, New Jersey on Sunday within the framework of his pastoral visit to the US.

Coptic Orthodox Church spokesman Boulos Halim said that the pontiff greeted the congregation and priests on the New Coptic Year.

The pope embarked on a visit to the US on September 13 as he has been inaugurating a number of churches besides meeting priests.
