CAIRO – 25 September 2018: Members of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly at U.N. headquarters in New York applauded Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi’s speech.
The Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi addressed several topics during the speech he gave at the United Nations’ General Assembly on Tuesday.
The Egyptian leader’s speech underlined the current regional crises ravaging the international arena and leaving millions of victims in the world, calling for a bigger role by global powers to contain the numerous civil conflicts.

Abdel Fatah al Sisi pointed out that the growing chaos in states such as Syria, Yemen, Libya and other African States, opening the door for the rampant phenomena of terrorism, human trafficking and illegal immigration.

The Egyptian President urged the establishment of an International body to face all means taking part in the flourishing of terrorism. Abdel Fatah al Sisi offered the Egyptian experience in dealing with terrorism to aid other states suffering from heinous phenomenon.
The president called the international powers to support the National States which adopt a National identity in the face of Sectarianism and civil wars.
Abdel Fatah al Sisi was keen to praise the current cooperation between the African Union and the United Nations, he mentioned that Egypt will chair the AU in 2019, vowing that his country will act to promote the current approach between the UN and the AU.
The President highlighted the Egypt’s vision 2030 project and how it is compatible with the UN’s third pillar which addresses development, calling the UN to support visions on which states can acquire better quality of life for their people.
