Egypt praises WIPO role in research

GENEVA - 25 September 2018: Egypt's delegate to the UN and international organizations in Geneva Ambassador Alaa Youssef Tuesday praised the role played by WIPO in promoting research, innovation and the intellectual property system worldwide.

Addressing the opening session of the General Assembly meeting of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held here until October 2, Youssef said Egypt is looking forward to having the organization expand its activities in developing nations to cover all targets of the sustainable development agenda 2030.

Egypt is also seeking to expand technical support programs and enhance their efficiency to be able to use the latest technology, he added.
