Security denies Mansoura explosion a terrorist attack

CAIRO - 21 September 2018: A car explosion at Mansoura, the capital of the Dakahlia Governorate, took place on Friday morning, causing panic to local residents fearing a terrorist attack, while a security source denied it is a terrorist operation, Almasry Alyoum newspaper reported.

The explosion caused some damages to the nearby stores.

Civil protection forces and bombs experts are combing the surrounding areas at the moment, while a security cordon was set up around the area of explosion.

The explosion has not resulted in any injuries or death cases, the security source adedd, affirming that this accident is not a terrorist attack.

The security source revealed that a personal issue was behind the explosion, and that a "homemade bomb" was found under the car.
