Ministers of military production, health confer on establishing factory for tumor medicines

CAIRO - 17 September 2018: State Minister of Military Production Mohamed Saeed el Assar and Health Minister Hala Zayed conferred on a flurry of issues topped by establishing a factory for producing tumor medications.

The factory will be built by “We Can” company in cooperation with the Ministry of Military Production, Vacsera Company, Tahya Misr Fund and Pharco Company along with a number of international companies.

The meeting tackled issues that aim at transferring technology to the tumor medication manufacturing sector, fulfilling the needs of the local market and exporting cancer medicines to neighboring and African countries.

The cooperation between the Ministry of Military Production and the Health Ministry comes as part of the state's keenness on providing the best possible medical services to the citizens via local manufacturing of tumor medications, Assar said.

Meanwhile, Zayed said that the cooperation between both ministries activates the plan of the Health Ministry to present quality health care to citizens.

She said her ministry is keen on cooperating with the Military Production Ministry and benefiting from the potentials available to implement a number of local industrial projects that are important for providing better public health services.
