CAIRO – 11 September 2018: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry met on Tuesday with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi and Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim al-Eshaiker al-Jaafari on the sidelines of the Arab League Council’s meetings, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.




In the same context, Abu Zeid referred that Shoukry is heading to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Tuesday evening to participate in the ministerial retreat meetings for the reform of the African Union Commission, scheduled for September 12-13.



Egypt and Jordan signed on April 11, 2018, a cooperation agreement to set up a coordination council for investment cooperation between the two countries.

This came during the Joint Annual Meeting of the Arab Financial Institutions that kicked off on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan.

The agreement aims at establishing an effective regulatory framework that would help boost bilateral investment relations by fostering cooperation, sharing relevant information on investors and stakeholders and developing new initiatives that would help achieve mutual economic objectives.

In the same context, Egypt and Iraq have had mutual cooperation in different aspects, atop of which is combating terrorism.
