Azhar Sheikh to give speech in Berlin following Friday prayer

CAIRO - 25 May 2017: Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb is expected to give a speech following tomorrow’s Friday prayers at a convention center in Berlin where he will discuss peaceful acceptance of different religions and encourage cultural dialogue among a community.

This comes as part of Tayeb’s visit to Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church site in Berlin, Germany where he placed flowers in the car accident site of Shaden M. on Wednesday.

Several Egyptian expats residing in Berlin gathered to welcome the Tayeb who was accompanied by the Egyptian ambassador in Berlin Badr Abdel Aty according to a released statement.

Head of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party Raed Saleh has met with Tayeb during his stay in Berlin, emphasizing the importance of spreading peaceful Muslim/Christian dialogue.
