CAIRO - 30 August 2018: Malaysian Ambassador to Egypt Mohamed Haniff Abd Rahman on Thursday hailed relations binding Cairo and Kuala Lumpur as long-established and historical.

In statements to MENA, on the sidelines of an annual celebration that the embassy holds for the Egyptian graduates of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP), the Malaysian ambassador asserted that close cooperation is underway between Egypt and Malaysia in several fields, topped by trade and education.

Abd Rahman voiced the Malaysian government’s keenness on consolidating and diversifying domains of cooperation with Egypt, stressing that both countries adopt close visions towards several international issues.

He said that 663 Egyptians have participated in the MTCP, since the launch of the program in 1980, adding that 14 Egyptian officials took part in the past year's edition of the program.

He underscored that the program aims to consolidate cooperation between Malaysia and the developing countries with the aim to develop the human capital and share the Malaysian expertise.
