Moderate weather expected during Eid’s 2nd day in Egypt - Asharaf Fawzy/ Egypt Today
CAIRO – 22 August 2018: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expects Wednesday’s weather to be moderate on the northern coasts, relatively hot in Cairo and Upper Egypt and pleasant at night.
The fog is expected to reduce visibility during the day, as clouds will be seen obviously on the north part of the country. The wind will be mostly northwesterly moderate and expected to be active on the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, leading to some disruption of sea navigation there.

The Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, with a wavelength of 1 to 1.5 meters and northwesterly surface winds. The Red Sea’s wavelength will vary from 2 to 2.5 meters.

Generally, the climate during Eid was reported to be pleasant enough to allow citizens to go out and enjoy the parks, River Nile picnics, as well as the beaches overlooking the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
Eid Al-Adha, also known as the feast of sacrifice, is an annual Islamic holiday celebrated worldwide. This year it is celebrated from Aug. 20 until Friday, Aug. 24.
