Egyptian NCHR chief meets with Australian ambassador

CAIRO – 23 May 2017: Mohamed Fayeq, head of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) met with Australia’s Ambassador to Egypt Neil Hawkins on Tuesday.


Fayeq also invited Australian Parliamentarian Anne Aly to take part in the NCHR conference scheduled in early July. Aly is the first female Muslim federal parliamentarian.


This conference will discuss combating extremism and hatred discourse. Several national, Arab, regional, international and African organizations interested in human rights will take part in the conference.
