Sisi directs Housing Min. to hand over 180K units by June 30

CAIRO – 23 May 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi directed The Minister of Housing, Mostafa Madbouly for the completion of 180,000 housing units by June 30, 2017, during the opening of a series of projects in Damietta, Tuesday.

“People who are ready to contract should be able to receive the units within a year or year and half through the contract and get the unit after payment of the full price,” said the president. He demanded to remove any difficult procedures to get the units when paid for.

In September 2014, Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly said that the Ministry would build a total of 150 thousand units to 250 thousand units for middle-income families over two years nationwide. The project will be built in cooperation with the Egyptian Military Engineering Authority (MEA).
