CAIRO – 6 August 2018: Nine people were injured in car explosion at Dokki district, Giza governorate early Monday.
The injured people suffered severe and minor burns and were hospitalized to Dokki and Agouza hospitals, according o official statement issued by the ministry of health.
The ministry of Interior announced that it has launched an investigation to uncover the reason behind the explosion.

According to the initial investigation, a private car exploded and its flames spread to other two cars and a minibus, which were severely damaged.
Forensic Analytical Crime Lab experts examined and inspected the the site of the blast. One of the security forces told media outlets that one of car’s high temperature could be behind the explosion.

Although death cases were reported by eye-witnesses, no official statements confirmed such news.

Security forces called on all eye witnesses to give their statements regarding the explosion. All near cameras were announced to be examined. [our ambulances, along with fire-fighting and police trucks rushed to the blast location.

As a result of the incident, security forces made several changes and conversions to ease the traffic within Dokki and Mohandeseen districts, where the blast took place.
