UK police chief says no intelligence Wiltshire pair were deliberately targeted
LONDON - 4 July 2018: Britain's counter-terrorism police chief said on Wednesday that there was no intelligence to indicate that a man and a woman exposed to a nerve agent in southern England had been deliberately targeted.
Neil Basu said there was nothing in the background of the pair, both British and aged in their 40s, to suggest they would be a target. He also told reporters police did not yet know how the Novichok nerve agent was transmitted.
