CAIRO - 1 July 2018: Egyptians in Saudi Arabia, Austria and Cyprus celebrate the fifth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, which saved Egypt from the power of the Muslim Brotherhood, now designated as a terrorist organization.
The General Union of Egyptians Abroad in Saudi Arabia organized a ceremony, titled “June 30 is the people’s revolution”, under the sponsorship of Egypt's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Nasser Hamdy.
In this regard, the vice president of the General Union of Egyptians Abroad and official spokesman of Saudi Arabia, said that June 30 is the revolution of people that put an end to the worst ruling period Egypt witnessed in its history, in cooperation with the Egyptian army, referring that this revolution has laid down the principles of citizenship and equality.

During the ceremony, Ibrahim Hamza, the deputy of Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, praised the role played by Egyptians in the revolution and urged them to keep the pace of development through hard work and perseverance.
On the other hand, many Egyptians gathered around the Egyptian Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus, and Vienna, Austria, raising Egyptian flags and President Sisi’s photos.
In press remarks, member of the Egyptian community in Kuwait, Youssif el Eliemy, said that June 30 revolution saved the entire region from the threats posed by the Brotherhood.
He said: “The outbreak of the revolution stopped the plot of getting the country rolling down a steep slope into a quagmire of terrorism and chaos where many neighboring countries fell.”

Eliemy stressed that the Egyptian regime, under the leadership of President Sisi, has succeeded to achieve stability at all levels, pointing out that the economic reforms had to take place.
He further added that, during the revolution and the years following it, Egypt faced and got over the obstacles in its path towards development and that the June 30 revolution triggered a sense of relief among the Gulf countries, given the closeness of the ruling regimes to the Egyptian regime.
Gergis Toss, president of the Egyptian Association in Frankfurt and executive member of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Communities in Germany, stressed that all Egyptians in Germany supported the June 30 revolution.
On June 30, 2013, millions of protesters across Egypt took to the streets and demanded to oust the Muslim Brotherhood regime; the day was engraved into Egypt’s history as the day Egyptians could free their country from the shackles of the outlawed terrorist organization that sought to destabilize the country.
