Egypt's PM to deliver gov't policy statement before Parliament on Tuesday

CAIRO - 30 June 2018: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli is set to deliver the government's statement before the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

The move comes in accordance with the constitution which stipulates that the new premier must deliver the government’s statement before the parliament within 20 days of the formation of the cabinet.

The House of Representatives will refer the statement to a special committee chaired by a deputy speaker, a move that is set to be followed by a vote of confidence.
