CAIRO - 28 June 2018: The Cairo Criminal Court adjourned to September 27 the trial of 215 elements of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group in "Helwan Brigades" case.
The court took the decision at its a session on Thursday under counselor Shaaban el Shamy.
The defendants are accused of forming an armed group called "Helwan Brigades" with the aim of carrying out attacks against policemen and state and public facilities, as well as vandalizing of electricity towers and transformers.
Late prosecutor Hisham Barakat had ordered in February 2015 the detention of the suspects pending investigation.
During the investigation, 51 suspects admitted joining the armed group and possessing fire arms and ammunition, as well as explosives.
