Defense Minister met with Chief of US National Guard

CAIRO – 17 May 2017: Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedki Sobhi met Chief of the U.S. National Guard Bureau General Joseph L. Lengyel and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt, in a Wednesday statement by the Ministry of Defense.

The meeting discussed several issues related to cooperation in the areas of coordination, training and exchange of military expertise in many fields.

The minister expressed pride in the military partnership and cooperation between the two countries' armed forces, which spanned decades of joint action in order to support security and peace in the Middle East.

Lengyel expressed his aspirations to continue efforts to advance the prospects of military cooperation in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries.
