CAIRO - 17 May 2017: After one month of a strict hunger strike, Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons suffer from deteriorated health conditions, Sky News Arabia reported Wednesday.

Palestinian detainee since 1984, Hafez Qandas was admitted to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where he had a surgery to treat an internal bleeding.

On April 17, about 1500 Palestinian, led by Fatah politician Marwan Barghouti, started a hunger strike in objection to Israeli prejudice against them.

The Palestinian prisoners’ demands are ending solitary confinements, allowing visits by prisoners’ families and lawyers, and providing them with medical care, according to Sky News Arabia.

The Arab League warned Tuesday that the conditions of Palestinian strikers are critical, calling on international human rights organizations to interfere to end this tragic situation.
