The number of deputy ministers in the newly appointed government has unprecedentedly increased, according to presidential spokesperson Ambassador Bassam Radi on Thursday.
The number of deputy ministers increased to 15 in the new Cabinet from two since the last Cabinet reshuffle on Jan. 14, 2018.
The new deputies include:
1. Osamah Ali Asran Abdel Sayed: Deputy Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy
2. Ahmed Ashraf Kajuk: Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policies
3. Mona Mehrez Ali Hassanein: Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock, Fisheries and Poultry
4. Assem Abdel Hameed Hafez El-Jazzar: Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Development and Chairman of the General Authority for Urban Planning
5. Amr Amin Mohamed Adly: Deputy Minister of Higher Education for University Affairs
6. Randa Ali Saleh Al-Menshawi: Deputy Minister of Housing for Follow-up and Facilities
7. Khaled Lotfy Hassan Al Attar: Deputy Minister of Communications for Administrative Development, Digital Transformation and Mechanization
8. Ihab Mohamed Hassan Abu Aish: Deputy Minister of Finance for the Treasury
9. Mohamed Mohamed Mujahid Al-Nanny: Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Educational Affairs
10. Khaled Mahmoud Ahmed Abbas Deputy Minister of Housing for the follow-up of national projects
11. Nevine Riad Abdelmajid El Kabbaj: Deputy Minister of Solidarity for Social Protection
12. Ghada Mustafa Labib Abdul Ghani Abu Zeid: Deputy Minister of Planning for Administrative Reform
13. Ahmed Gad Gad Radwan Kamali: Deputy Minister of Planning for Planning Affairs
14. Yasser Refaat Abdel Fattah Mohamed:Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research
15. Mohamed Omar Ahmed Omar: Deputy Minister of Education for Teachers Affairs
The new 32-minister Cabinet, presided over by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, has sworn in before President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Thursday. A total of 12 new ministers were appointed in the new government, while 20 others of the caretaker government were kept.
After taking the oath, the new cabinet members held a meeting with President Sisi, who directed them to be keen on creating qualified cadres and figures for a better future.
