Security measures beefed up at river bus berths: Cairo governor

CAIRO - 15 June 2018: Cairo Governor Atef Abdel Hamid on Friday, the first day of Eidul Fitr (Lesser Bairam), inspected the berth of river bus in Maspero zone to check on security measures meant to protect passengers.

The governor directed Public Transport Authority CEO Rizk Ali to guarantee securing the berth and search the buses before any trip.

He also highlighted the necessity of making sure that buses are compatible with measures of civil protection and river police.

Abdel Hamid, meanwhile, asserted the necessity of taking all security precautions at the three other river berths in the vicinities of Cairo University, el Qanater el Khayreya and Zamalek.
