Libyan army: Derna City to be fully liberated within hours

TRIPOLI – 11 June 2018: Libyan army spokesman Ahmed al-Mesmari said the coming hours will witness the full liberation of Derna city from the grip of terrorist groups.

In statements to Al-Arabiya, Mesmari said the army is currently engaged in clearing out the last hideouts of terrorists from the city centre, adding that the battle against Qaeda leaders is about to come to an end.

The Libyan army has announced that 75 percent of the city area have been controlled along with all outlets of the city.
