Sisi: Egypt keen on continuing coordination with Saudi Arabia over regional issues

CAIRO - 6 June 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed on Wednesday Egypt's keenness on continuing coordination with Saudi Arabia to settle regional issues and confront terrorism.

During a meeting with Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed al Qattan, Sisi hailed strategic and deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The president asked Qattan to convey his greetings to Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Qattan, for his part, voiced the kingdom's desire to step up the level of cooperation and coordination with Egypt in all fields to overcome challenges facing the region.

The meeting also tackled means of boosting cooperation with African countries to make use of their capabilities and resources.

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and acting chief of Egypt's intelligence Abbas Kamel attended the meeting.
