CAIRO – 4 June 2018: Units of Syrian Arab Army thwarted infiltration attempt by terrorist groups of Daesh to the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province, inflicting losses upon their ranks and equipment, SANA reported on Sunday.

A Syrian army unit clashed with a terrorist group affiliated to Daesh that infiltrated from the direction of the Syrian-Iraqi border to Al-Shaafa village and the town of Hajin on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, killing or injuring all the members of the terrorist group.

Another army unit confronted an attempt by terrorist groups to sneak to the village of Al-Hasarat north of the city of Al-Boukamal, and eliminated the majority of its members and destroyed their equipment.
