CAIRO – 18 May 2018: Egypt's Meteorological Authority predicted temperatures to be very high in Egypt on Friday. Weather will be moderate on the North Coast, with a slight decline in temperatures during the night.
Clouds are low and medium in northern Egypt, with chances of rain in South and Central Sinai. Winds are moderate and northeasterly, active in the Gulf of Suez.
The Mediterranean Sea will be light to mild, with a wavelength of 1-1.5 meters and northeasterly surface winds.
The Red Sea will be mild to turbulent, with a wavelength of 2-2.5 meters and northwesterly surface winds.
The capital of Egypt will see highs of 38°C and lows of 21°C.
Weather in the cities along the Mediterranean coast of Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh will see highs of 28-30°C and lows of 17-22°C, making them nice places for families to spend a nice weekend vacation.
The weather forecast for Aswan and Luxor will see highs of 40-41°C and lows of 24-35°C, which is a good opportunity to enjoy the Egyptian sun.
Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada are expected to see temperatures of 36-37°C, while Minya’s temperature will probably rise to 38°C.
Suez and Ismailia are set to see temperatures of 37-38°C, while Asyut is to expect a high of 39°C.
As for Saturday, meteorologists expect hot weather over the North Coast and very hot weather over other parts of the country. Early morning fog decreases visibility over the North Coast and Lower Egypt, with a decline in temperatures during the night.
