CAIRO – 15 May 2018: The British Foreign Office congratulated Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah via Twitter on Monday as he won the Premier League Golden Boot.
The department replied to Mohamed Salah’s tweet about winning the award as it said, “Congratulations to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah for getting the Golden Boots as he set a new record for the number of goals he scored.”

Salah secured the Premier League Golden Boot for 2017-2018 after finishing the season with 32 goals of his 36 appearances.
Salah also set a new Premier League record for the highest number of goals by one player in a single 38-game season.
Salah claimed several awards this year, such as the Top Scorer of the Top Five Leagues, the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year, and EA Sports Player of the Season award.
