CAIRO – 11 May 2018: Beni Suef University has been named Egypt’s best university by the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies University Rankings 2018.
The university napped the 114th spot among 378 universities in 42 countries around the world, Mansour Hassan, president of the university, said in press remarks.
According to the Times rankings, Alexandria University was ranked the second-best Egyptian university.
President of Beni Suef university, Mansour Hassan, pointed out in press remarks that the rankings were based on the overall quality of the university’s scientific research and citation and research journal publications, congratulating all universities’ researchers and professors for the achievement.
He stressed that the university’s leadership will continue promoting scientific research and innovation, as well as supporting international and regional collaboration.
The university was also ranked the highest among Egyptian universities in terms of the high quality of the research papers attributed to it, according to the International Journal of Educational Research and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.
The first ten spots of the Times rankings were dominated by British and American universities, with the University of Oxford coming at the top.
