CAIRO – 4 May 2018: The Ministry of Planning announced the launch of the governmental services provided to citizens through mobile-based platforms, Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform Hala El-Said said on Thursday.

The minister’s statements were made during the inauguration of technology centers in the governorate of Suez.

As many as 120 centers, distributed all over Egypt, will be well suited to provide local services to citizens through technology-based platforms, the minister added.

The Minister of Planning also stressed that the practice will greatly contribute to reducing the possible erroneous interactions and corruption practices commonly widespread in the local council of the governorates.

The Finance Ministry will finish automating the budget and establishing the Treasury Single Account (TSA) banking system at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) this month, Finance Minister Amr el-Garhy announced in March.

Various sub accounts of different administrative bodies will also be closed down and dealing with paper checks will be canceled.

This will happen through the application of the Government Fiscal Management Information System (GFMIS), which includes electronic payment and collection of state revenues and expenditures.
