CAIRO – 10 May 2017: The Egyptian government is preparing a draft domestic service law and will present it to the House of Representatives once completed, said the advisor to the Minister of Manpower, Ehab Abdel Aati, on Tuesday.

The draft law will discuss the affairs, rights and duties of those who work in domestic service as they are not subject to the labor law, said Abdel Aati. He stressed that the initial version of the project will be presented to the Commission on Manpower.

The parliamentarian, Galila Osman, demanded that domestic workers should be subject to the same laws as foreigners to avoid any kind of discrimination.
