CAIRO - 26 April 2018: Egypt's Special Forces and their Bahraini counterparts concluded the several days’ "Khaled Ibn Al Waleed 2018" joint military drills in Bahrain, with a number of senior army officials on both sides attending.
The head the Bahraini Special Forces voiced his appreciation for Egypt’s constructive and fruitful cooperation as well as his satisfaction that many Bahraini officers were graduates from Egypt’s military colleges and academies.

For his part, the commander of the Egyptian special forces’ units participating in the drills delivered the greetings of Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi to the Bahraini forces.
The drills included several activities and lectures to coordinate between them and exchange experience and know-how .
The military exercises also included special forces training, counter-terrorism tactics, freeing hostages and storming facilities.
They came in light of the close and historic ties binding Egypt and Bahrain in addition to the ongoing coordination between their armed forces.
The aim of these drills was to reach the highest levels of efficiency and preparedness to face any danger that may pose a threat to the region's security and stability.
The drills came in the context of military partnership, cooperation and coordination between the armed forces of the two countries.
