CAIRO – 18 April 2018: In a new move led by Finland, the document explains the work of the Muslim Brotherhood with Western countries to improve their image in front of the world and attempt to pass the group’s failed terrorist plan to return to the Libyan scene.

Egypt Today has received a copy of a “charter of honor” issued by the Finnish government to reach a political solution in Libya that includes the Muslim Brotherhood.

Several Libyan political entities and a number of parties are invited to sign the document, such as the Justice and Construction Party, which is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood; the Home Party, headed by former Libyan Islamic Fighting Group Emir Abdul Hakim Belhadj; and the National Struggle Front, which is headed by Ahmed Qadhaf al-Dam, cousin of late Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi; as well as other parties related to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The objectives of the document include abandoning hate speech and incitement by the media and respecting sovereign institutions.

Some parties and political organizations have tentatively agreed to the document, but have not yet signed it, seeking coordination and consultation prior to signing, informed sources have said.

For years, the Muslim Brotherhood has been seeking to be engaged politically in Libya, according to political observers, who affirmed to media outlets that the Muslim Brotherhood has put on several new “masks” and concealing their true Islamist orientations in order to compete with other politicians.

Libya is not only trying to unify its army, but to also revive its political functions by conducting presidential and legislative elections by mid-2018.

Since 2011, Libya has been witnessing severe devastating political escalations and infighting, which culminated with the emergence of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group that has since killed hundreds of innocent civilians. The group’s operations in Sirte in northern Libya were of particular gravity when the city was taken and turned into a stronghold for the militants.
