Ukrainian president congratulates Sisi on election victory

CAIRO – 13 April 2018: In a phone call, President of the Ukrainian Republic Petro Poroshenko congratulated President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on securing another four-year presidential term.

The Ukrainian president affirmed that the results reflected the Egyptian people’s confidence in his leadership during the upcoming presidential period, wishing the Egyptian people continued progress and prosperity, and further extended his hopes for having the mutual relations brimming at different levels.

For his part, the president expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Ukrainian president, stressing his keenness to push forward bilateral cooperation between the two countries in line with the common interests of the two countries.

The two presidents also emphasized the importance of holding a joint committee between the two countries during the year to follow up on the developments and the success of all bilateral ties in the distinctive fields of cooperation and to expand the horizon of future cooperation.
