Education Ministry discusses providing loans to students to study aboard

CAIRO – 4 May 2017:The Ministry of Higher Education is discussing the allocation of an “education loan” in collaboration with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) that will be provided to postgraduate students, who intend to peruse their studies abroad, Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar said in a press conference on Thursday.


He said that the ministry is currently in talks with the NBE to provide the loan.


He added that the council of private universities has agreed in its last meeting on not to increase the new academic year’s fees for new students.
