CAIRO – 26 March 2018: The wife of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Entissar Amer, cast her vote in the presidential election at Mostafa Youssri Abou Emeira School in Heliopolis, the same school where the President Sisi voted on Monday.
In every public election, Mostafa Youssri Abou Emeira School in Heliopolis, previously known as Heliopolis Model School for Girls, hosts heads of state while casting their ballots.

The school, which is adjacent to the Presidential Palace of Ittihadyia, was previously a royal palace for Princess Ferial of Egypt, King Farouk’s eldest child.

On Monday, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi cast his vote in the 2018 presidential election at the school, which is adjacent to the presidential palace of Ittihadyia, Cairo.

The school was renamed Heliopolis Model School following the 1952 Revolution.
The 2018 presidential election is the third poll to take place in Egypt since the January 2011 revolution.
Egyptians who are above the age of 18 have the right to vote. The eligible voters for this year’s presidential election are around sixty million. Active members of the armed forces and police are not allowed to vote.

According to the NEA, the presidential election will be supervised by 18,620 judges (primary and substitute), including 8,420 regular judges, 4,800 administrative prosecutors, 3,300 judges from State Lawsuits Authority and 2,100 judges from State Council.
