Five regional, int'l organizations observe presidential polls

CAIRO - 22 March 2018: Deputy Foreign Minister Hamdy Sanad Loza said that five regional and international organizations will participate in observing the presidential election scheduled on March 26-28 nationwide.

Loza told MENA on Thursday that these organizations are the Arab League (AL), African Union (AU), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

He further underlined that he met with the heads of the AU and COMESA missions who arrived here on Thursday, adding that Egypt considers the African observation of the polls as a kind of solidarity with the Egyptian people. (MENA)
