MOSCOW - 20 March 2018: Egypt's Ambassador to Russia Ihab Nasr said Egypt and Russia share similar views and are always keen on exchanging views and coordination at all levels.
In statements to MENA here on Tuesday, Nasr said Egypt is a major regional power and Russia is a key super power and it is necessary to hold constant consultations between them.
As for development in economic relations recently, he said Egyptian-Russian relations are historically distinguished in various fields and they still have wider vistas for development.
He referred to trade exchange which increased more than 50% only last year. Egyptian exports increased a great deal exceeding dlrs 500 million, he said, adding that agricultural exports to Russia are also developing as new crops are now included.
As for the resumption of flights between Cairo and Moscow, the ambassador said Aeroflot Company flights will resume between the two capitals on April 11, while EgyptAir will operate its first flight on April 12. Contacts to resume flights to Egypt's other airports will begin soon, he added.
