Expelled Russian diplomats will leave Britain on March 20

MOSCOW - 16 March 2018: The Russian diplomats expelled from Britain will leave London on March 20, RIA news agency cited the Russian Ambassador to Britain as saying.

In the same context, Moscow will reduce the diplomatic representation in its embassy to the UK by 40 percent, Russian Ambassador in London Alexander Yakovenko said in a statement carried by Sky News channel on Friday.

The TV channel gave no further details about the matter.

The Russian Foreign Ministry had earlier announced that Britain would expect tough measures from Russia in response to expelling 23 Russian diplomats from London on the backdrop of alleged involvement of Russia in the poisoning of a former Russian spy in Britain.
