Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry - FILE
ROME - 15 March 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry inspected Thursday the headquarters of the election committee at the Egyptian Embassy in Rome.
Shoukry's inspection came on the sidelines of his participation in the international conferences to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), as well as the Lebanese army.
Egypt's Ambassador in Rome Hesham Badr informed Shoukry on the measures taken by the embassy to facilitate the voting process of the Egyptian expatriates in Italy during the upcoming presidential election which will begin on Friday and last for three days.
The elections will be held abroad at 139 polling stations in Egypt's diplomatic and consular missions in 124 countries.
