CAIRO – 14 March 2018: The Arab Federation for Human Rights (AFHR) announced Wednesday that it had assigned a team of Arab lawyers to internationally prosecute Qatar for funding terrorism in Egypt.

“Western media, organizations and states should no longer be biased towards the propaganda promoted by Qatar, as the emirate has not yet proven to stop funding terrorism in the Middle East,” said Ahmed El Hamli, head of AFHR, during a press conference held on Wednesday in the Swiss capital of Geneva.

The conference, which was attended by several international law experts, accused Qatar, along with Turkey and Iran, of stirring conflicts in the already troubled region of the Middle East.

Egypt had previously launched a campaign documenting the crimes and massacres undertaken by groups funded by Qatar, where several Egyptians were killed and suffered from untreatable injuries.

The campaign vowed not to forget the Egyptian blood spilled and the sacrifices to contain the terrorism provoked by individuals sheltered in Qatar, such as the leaders of the outlawed group the Muslim Brotherhood.
